Welcome to our New Additions

GHLC Smile

Sapaveco's Copper Penny
10-11-2010
Shag Power Petrone & GHLC Smile
We welcome Smile & her first cria Penny to our family. Smile is a very silky and still a little shy young lady that has a very beautiful spirit. Penny is a very impressive and quiet large cria. She is quite a bit larger then Anabelle, the cria that was born to Zinnamin, and Penny is almost one month younger and is a show girl that likes to pose every chance she gets and has the most calming disposition. The fiber of both is truly breathtaking a great addition to our herd.

Where does the time go??

It's hard to believe that January has already come and went, wow....Well things are always busy here. We just returned from our trip to Johnson City TX, where we picked up 3 beautiful male alpacas. We welcome, Pistol Pete, Prince & Pendragon to our family and thank Larry Hauptrief(Thousand Acre Alpacas) to make this possible. We also received lots of fiber that partially will be processed for Larry from us. They are a great addition and will give us lots of great fiber:)

The First Wool Creations :)

New handcrafted creations ready for winter:) I hope everyone enjoys them as much as we do. We are very  thankful for the beautiful wool that our wooly friends make available for us. Just in time for the holidays.
Hopefully we will be successful in replenishing the rescue funds so we are able to  keep making a difference in these awesome animals. For $ 20.00  you can choose any hat and  $ 30.00 will secure you the brown and white wooly scarf, the large cream colored shawl we ask for $ 40.00.
Thank all of you for your interest and time to visit our blog. We appreciate everyones kindness.

Getting Work Done !!!!

Although it is still pretty warm outside we are getting alot of work done here at the ranch. Stan worked on the roof today and moweds while I cleaned pastures and fed the animals. We also went to town to get feed. The very groovy thing is that we found a local farmer that will give us a good deal on hay, that we get ready to stock for the winter.
Tomorrow is herb garden clean up, greenhouse repair  to start with.
It is a true labor of love .
